sciences. We are interested in individuals
with outstanding credentials to participate
in the virtual ground-up development of
a life sciences company, backed by a leading global corporation.
This position will be primarily responsible for assisting the office's Patent Attorney on various legal activities.
Responsibilities:
Handle incoming mail.
General organization of physical and digital files for the patent applications.
Organize email correspondence for patent applications, including communicating with inventors and utilizing document management system.
Docket incoming and outgoing correspondence for patent applications.
Update patent docketing/document management system with daily activities and correspondence.
Provide legal administrative support for all intermediate prosecution issues, including working with the Patent Attorney to file applications and formal responses in timely manner.
Use of Patent Office’s electronic filing system.
Perform searches and obtain patent documents and non-patent references.
Reconcile invoices from outside counsel.
Promote patent activities by coordinating locations and activities of various meetings and events to generate and reward patent activity.
Assist company with various administrative tasks as needed (no more than 10% of time).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three years relevant work experience also required.
Experience working with ProLaw a plus.
Experience working with biological and/or medical device patents a plus.
