We are interested in individuals with outstanding credentials to participate in the virtual ground-up development of a life sciences company, backed by a leading global corporation.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
The Research and Development team is seeking at minimum, one, highly
motivated and energetic senior or recent college graduate to work as
part of a team in the area of pharmacogenetics and its integration
into medical diagnostic equipment. In this full time 14 week paid
internship, the successful candidate will utilize current assay
development and sample preparation protocols to develop, test and
validate new ones. This person will work closely with our team
scientists and product design engineers to help develop biological
components for our diagnostic equipment. In addition, he/she will
have the opportunity to validate clinically relevant pharmocogenetic
tests while working with our assay development team. He/she should
have at least one-year lab experience working on a research project
with knowledge and familiarity in one of the following areas: nucleic
acid purification, PCR and assay development. In addition, it is
necessary to have good oral and written skills along with knowledge of
basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Basic lab safety
training is a must.

bullet Rising Senior or recent graduate from a BS program.
bullet Ability and desire to work a 14 week paid internship program.
bullet At least 1 Year lab experience working on research project.
bullet Must be familiar with one of the following: nucleic acid purification,
quantitative PCR, and assay development.
bullet Must be able to work well within a team and must be able to establish good relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
bullet Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
bullet Energetic, team oriented, motivated, and a strong work ethic are a must.
